Yautja race 5e

yautja race 5e

The Yautja ya-OOT-ja ; commonly known as Predators ; are a sapientspacefaring species of extraterrestrial humanoids : a race of hunters that continuously seek Human and other exotic prey, whether sapient or non-sapient. In addition to the name Yautja, the alternate name Hish-qu-Tenor simply Hish ; has also been applied to this species; although there is evidence that they might represent a distinct subspecies, ethnic group, or faction.

The notable encounters with the Yautja species seemingly consists of mostly male Predators - the Predator females are a somewhat rare occurrence as there are only a few known female individuals.

Predators are physically distinguished from Humans by their greater height, arthropod-like mandibles and long, hair-like appendages on their heads that are set into their skulls. Their bodies are resilient to damage, capable of recovering from multiple gunshot wounds and radiation doses which would be fatal to Humans.

They are much stronger than Humans, being easily capable of outmatching a conditioned adult Human male and shattering solid concrete with their bare hands.

They are also skilled climbers, and will readily move through trees or across rooftops in pursuit of prey. Though capable of surviving exposure in Antarctic temperatures for an extended period of time, it is believed that Predators have a preference for hot equatorial climates. Their diet is omnivorous, as they've been shown to consume both meat and vegetable roots. Doctor Miriam Revna has noted that the Yautja have a completely different cell structure from the Xenomorph facehugger.

The Yautja blood is easily recognizable as a luminous phosphorous green fluid: a trait they share with other creatures which are presumed to have a close evolutionary relationship to them, such as the Predator Hound.

When Batman had the opportunity to test some of the Predator's blood, he found that its biochemistry was alien, but still carbon-based. Because of this, he was able to use a wide-spectrum tranquilizer, with a dosage which in Batman's words could stop a herd of rhinos, to partially incapacitate the Predator. The dreadlock-like head tendrils are an iconic physical feature of the Yautja. Speculated to represent thermoregulatory or sensorial organs; it's also possible that they serve primarily for display.

Some individuals have been observed to wear what appears to be jewelry on them, and the "Predalien" a Xenomorph born from a Yautja host eventually grew them; implying that they are genetic. The first step towards becoming a warrior amongst the Yautja is the agony of the plaiting of these locks, a process that can take months of ritual and scalp pain, performed in public sessions.

If there is any sign of tears or even the tiniest voicing of pain, then the intricate weaving will be undone, and the candidate has to start from the beginning. When a Predator's dreadlocks are shot off, they bleed profusely. Variations in their dreadlocks have been shown to exist. One of the Yautja hunting in Gotham had short dreadlocks that appear to be uniformly cut.Forums New posts New threadmarks Search forums. Tickets Open new ticket Watched. Spacebattles Merchandise.

Well, there was that one human female that ended up hooking up with them and learning to do stuff their way. Oh, going through the race they have them as being Lawful Neutral - Really? I'd have them as Lawful Evil, probably even Neutral Evil. After all, they not only hunt sapients for sport, they also release Xenomorphs on occupied planets despite knowing full well what they'll do, again, merely to increase sport.

That's evil to me. I also think dropping them from Lawful to Neutral is justified because they generally don't hunt the way they do because it's 'the law', but because it increases the challenge. Their mission is simple:Take out a bandit camp that has been terrorizing a nearby village. However, upon arriving in the bandit camp, they are greeted with a scene of horror.

Bodies; at least a hundred spread throughout the camp. Some, hung from trees by their feet, skinned from head to toe, others, their chest burst open as if hit with a large fireball. As they continue through the camp, they realize that many of the smoldering piles are more bodies; maimed beyond recognition. Who or what could be so brutal, so unforgiving?

As they wonder, a scream rings out through the forest. Familiar; one of their own. They knew, now, they were the prey of this new, unseen being.

The Predator's life is devoted to the hunt. Races: Yautja are most commonly predators, but it is not unheard of for them to bestow this honor to a warrior that has shown great skill and respect in their presence.

Starting Age : simple. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Masters of combat, Predators are proficient with all simple, martial, and clan weapons, as well as improvised weapons. A predator also gains Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization with their clan weapons.

Class Role: To maximize their effectiveness on the hunt, Predators specialize themselves, growing and maturing as one of three classes. So, when beginning the predator class, you must choose either Fighter, Rogue, or Ranger. Which ever you choose, your predator shall level according to that classes abilities, bonuses, and skills.

Ex: if you chose the class role rogue, you would be able to perform sneak attacks on your enemies as a rogue does. Pred-armor: The Predator gains armor bonuses every once and a while. These effects stack with one another instead of replacing each other every time you gain it.

Pred-Pod: This landing pod-type ship serves as a weapon storage, modification station, and trophy case. The pod can be summoned from any location via the predator's wrist computer. As the predator levels and grows stronger, more compartments open within the pod, releasing the new weapons and tools for the predators arsenal. The Pred-Pod also allows you to upgrade current weapons attack bonuses. Every level you may increase a single clan weapons attack bonus starting at first.

Wrist Computer: An item that every predator carries. This self-sustaining, wrist worn computer powers the predators entire arsenal, and controls the predators ship. As the predator levels, the mask upgrades. At the 5th level, the biomask gains trackvision and heatvision. Then, at the 11th level, the mask gains upgraded trackvisionand an Information HUD. At the 16th level, the biomask gives the user zoomed vision, doubling the range of the users vision. Trackvision: This vision mode allows the predator to pick up traces of DNA that would be invisible to the naked eye, such as scent trails, bodily fluids, or DNA footprints left behind from skin cells.Because you asked, I delivered.

So far all I've accomplished is converting the equipment I like into 3. I plan on making my own Predator and Alien xeno stats but I can't right yet as I'm going off to look at a house today By the way almost everything Predator is being converted Modern to 3. Infravision:: A Predator can see in only heat signals except when using a Biohelmet.

This heat vision gives away hidden enemies and helps a predator track recently disturbed earth. Honor-Bound:: A predator cannot violate specific honor codes or else he will be dishonored and exiled from his society. These codes are as follows. Hunt only worthy game. Do not fail in the hunt. Don't claim the kill of another hunter. Never murder another Predator. Never kill while cloaked. Never harm innocents. Only kill the weak when in need of food. Show honor to another's kill. Will not join a hunt or hunt in another's territory without permission.

Will treat those who defeat them in a fair hunt or show mercy as equals. Destroy any other predator which breaks this code. Self-Destruction:: A hunter who accepts defeat or violates the code but does not wish to live a life in shame may commit a ritual suicide that detonates an area of ft. Anyone caught in the blast is dealt 10d12 DMG. A reflex DC of 20 to half the damage dealt. Self-Destruct completely obliterates the predator that engages it, and any predator that doesn't engage a self destruct before death whether because they died too quickly or because they violated the code but would rather live in shame are usually hunted down by another hunter too have the sequence initiated.

Meaning predators who violate the code will be considered fair game and hunted by other predators. This also means anyone who collects a dead predator or his gear will be relentlessly hunted by the others as the society they have is to be kept completely secret.

Biohelmet:: Allows the predator to see in a sharper form of infravision Infravision without the helmet is fuzzy and they have issues determining two objects with a similar heat level.

A darkvision mode fta Xenomorph detection mode, and a Gamma detection mode. Cloak:: A predators cloaking comes from a device that constantly takes pictures of all directions and shows the images recorded in the opposite direction they came from. This makes the predator practically invisible while standing perfectly still. The cloak does not hide a Predators heat signal nor does it hide his scent from Xenomorphs.

It is against the Yautja Code to kill an enemy while cloaked. The Yautja[2] [3] [4] pronounced Ya-OOT-ja [5]known colloquially as the Predators or Huntersare an extraterrestrial species characterized by their hunting of other dangerous species for sport and honor, including humans.

The Yautja are a sentient, humanoid race that breathe an atmosphere similar to that of Earth 's, but possess a level of technological advancement far in excess of anything available to humans. The Predators stalk and kill their prey using a combination of highly advanced technology, such as active camouflage and energy weaponscombined with comparatively primitive traditional weapons, such as bladesspears and nets.

The Predators often ritualistically mutilate their prey and usually claim a trophy from their kills.

Capable of interstellar travel in star ships, the Predators have hunted on Earth for centuries and have also had prior contact with the Engineers. They have been known to deliberately breed Xenomorphs in order to hunt them, often as part of initiation rituals for young Predators.

Aside from their repeated conflicts with humans, the Predators have notably been associated with Xenomorph XXknown to them as kiande amedha "hard meat"[6] whom they revere as perhaps the most worthy of all prey.

The Yautja have a Code of Honor that it expects all members of his species to adhere to on pain of not being seen as a "true Yautja" and therefore subject to being destroyed. Therefore most Yautja are molded around that code, being ruthless but honorable, with the exception of Bad Bloods. Aggression and arrogance seems to be innate in Hunters, especially young males.

The unmasked faces of various Predators. Predators are bipedal humanoids, physically distinguishable from humans by their greater height, the long, hair-like appendages on their heads nicknamed dreadlockstheir reptilian skin and their faces, which feature arthropod-like mandibles and no visible nose.

The biological purpose of the distinctive mandibles is unclear β€” some have proposed they may be used in reproduction or mating rituals. They may also be a vestigial piece of anatomy, as noted by Lex Woodswho compares it to the human appendix.

This strength evidently extends to their lower bodies as well, as Predators have been seen to jump up to three times their own height, and are capable of falling up to ten times their height and landing safely on their feet.

They are skilled climbers, and in fact appear to prefer moving at height through trees [12] or across rooftops [11] in pursuit of prey, typically jumping from one vantage point to the next.

Predator (5e Class)

Though capable of surviving exposure in Antarctic temperatures for an extended period of time, [1] it seems as though Predators have a preference for hot equatorial climates. According to Isabella BorgiaYautja possess "superior genetic material" compared to humans that, if used correctly, could enhance humanity as a species. The augmentation of Hunter Borgia was one such project carried out in this regard, although the genetic experimentation was not completed before Hunter was slain by the Yautja known as Scarface.

Nevertheless, Yautja genes are evidently "potent" enough that, when one is impregnated with a Xenomorph Chestbursterthe resulting creature adopts more pronounced physical characteristics from its host than might otherwise be expected β€” such as dreadlocks and mandibles β€” leading to the distinctive Predalien caste.

Their blood is luminescent phosphor green in color, and has the capacity to partially neutralize the acidity of Xenomorph blood. Predators' vision operates mainly in the infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum; they can easily detect heat differentials in their surroundings, but are unable to easily distinguish among objects of the same relative temperature.

Predators' dietary habits are not clearly established, although the City Hunter that stalked Los Angeles was known to visit a slaughterhouse in the city every two days to feed on the meat stored there, [11] suggesting a carnivorous or perhaps omnivorous diet.

In one instance, a contamination, caused by Chemical AX. While the maximum or typical lifespan of a Predator is not known, it is accepted as being well in excess of human lifespans, and it has been implied that Predator Elders can live for hundreds to thousands of years.

One predator, called Kalaktais said to be thousands of years old. He comments that human life "hurries as if eager" to its end, in comparison to a Yautja's lifespan. Predators possess their own language, both in spoken and written form, the former of which resembles a series of clicks, roars, snarls and growls.

They also have dialects, which deviate sharply enough from the Yautja common tongue that translators cannot make heads or tails of it. These written symbols appear on the creatures' gauntlet displays, helmets, architecture and many other surfaces. It is unclear to what degree the Yautja can comprehend this speech, although the creatures at least seem to hold some understanding of the language as they have been known to repeat phrases at vaguely appropriate times as a form of communication with prey.

It has been known for humans and Yautja to successfully communicate using sign language. There is evidence that Yautja understand the concept of humor.Edit this Page All abandoned pages.

Yautja train every day, except for the children, for at least one hour. This may include a hunt, but otherwise families have a similar daily life to that of a human.

Yautja often have a calm, level headed, approach to problem solving; however, they may become increasingly short fused after long periods of failure or tribulation. Yautja are masters of ranged and melee combat. Yautja are most known for observing and studying targets, preferring to use stealth and tactics to claim victories. For most Yautja, honor is worth more than any commodity.

When fighting, Yautja often employ a strict code of chivalry, always giving an opponent even ground, and fighting clean. Yaujtas are large humanoids standing The average weight of a male is around pounds. Yautja skin color can range between dark green to a pasty yellow, occasionally mottled with black spots, and their eye color is similarly yellow or green.

On their head the Yautja have things that resemble hair, and are believed to be used to regulate body temperature. Their appearance is akin to dreadlocks. A Yautja's faces generally has four mandibles which surround a smallish mouth filled with sharp teeth; however, the number and size of mandibles and mouth size may vary. Yautja's will get along with any race evil or otherwise as long as they show a sense of honor.

If an individual does not show these these qualities, Yautja's will ignore them. Those that repeatedly show them disrespect will often be killed, or challenged to a fight. There are many tribes within Yautja civilization. There is the occasional war between groups over land or hunting territory. Such wars often span several generations; however, they typically maintain respect for each other.

Yautja are usually considered Lawful Neutral. They will follow a code of honor that guides who they kill, why they kill and when they kill.

Some may stray from this path and disregard honor, going for easy kills. Yautja live in a variety of terrain and are great adapters. However, colder regions can be uninhabitable for Yautja, as they prefer warmer, temperate zones, such as jungles and forests.
