LTE CPE B315
For many people, 4G technology can now deliver similar or even faster download speeds than traditional fixed-line home broadband. Alternatively, shorter month or 1-month contracts are also available with a higher monthly price and an upfront fee for the router.
The following table shows a full list of HomeFi price plans that are available at the time of writing:. As of SeptemberThree is providing an upgraded router to all new 4G home broadband customers.Scale modeling websites
If you decide to replace your landline connection with a HomeFi, it might be possible for you to stop paying a rental charge for your landline. This is a two-in-one device combining a 4G home broadband router with an Amazon Alexa smart speaker for controlling your smart home devices.
You can also use the AI Cube to listen to music and to make internet-based phone calls. You can see a full list of AI Cube price plans on the Three website. You can check on the Three Broadband website to see whether the service is available where you live.
You can share your HomeFi broadband connection with up to 64 devices through dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity with full support for There are also 4 Gigabit Ethernet sockets available for connecting wired devices to your network.
Two SMA sockets are also available for attaching an external antenna if required. The Huawei B is no longer available to new customers, though many existing customers may still be using one. The Huawei B allows you to share a wi-fi connection with up to 32 devices at one time using In addition, the router only supports single-band Wi-Fi For this reason, we think the Huawei B HomeFi Plus router is a much better option and is well worth the upgrade for most people.
The Huawei B also has three additional Gigabit Ethernet sockets for connecting wired devices to your network. Whilst the maximum download speeds sound fairly impressive, actual real-world download speeds will normally be much slower than this. Some people might live in a coverage blackspot whereas others may live in an area with really strong coverage.Micro piglets for sale
The position of the router in your home can often make a big difference to download speeds you get. Having an external antenna can also help by giving you a stronger 4G signal.
External factors like the weather or congestion on nearby masts can also affect the download speeds you receive on the service. Because download speeds can vary based on multiple different factors, Three generally takes a fairly conservative approach when it comes to marketing their download speeds. This is based on peak-hour download speeds from 8pmpm. Alternatively, the average 5G home broadband connection should easily beat this. Latency is the amount of time it takes for your device to send data to the internet and for a response to be received.4G Broadband Speeds !!! Huawei AI Cube on Three UK !!!
This is slightly higher than on traditional fixed-line ADSL or fibre broadband services, where the latency is about 20ms 0. For things like browsing the internet or watching TV shows, the extra wait of around 0. It's all gone wrong in the past 3 weeks, my phone keeps reverting to 4G rather than the WiFi, my work laptop won't connect to the VPN at all, and my own computer keeps sticking on 'Resolving host' for a good 5 seconds before loading a webpage. I've tried setting different DNS servers to no avail.
It seems like as soon as it resolves the host it goes to being properly fast again hence still getting a decent speedtest result. Spoken to Three's technical support tonight, who reckon it's a known issue with Huawei and they're in the process of testing a firmware update which should be ready in the next weeks!
Has anyone else had similar trouble as it sounds a bit bullshitty to me. For what its worth, I've got line of sight to the 4G mast, and my phone also uses Three 4G without any issues at all. Sadly don't have the B anymore, but I never experienced the problems you have mentioned here.
Perhaps this could indeed be a firmware issue, or maybe your unit has become faulty. Were there any firmware updates prior to it going wrong?
There is a little thread going on at TBB, which can be viewed here. It does mention some issues with the B experienced by different individuals and I wonder if the network switching issue is something you are currently experiencing? Since you have already spoken with the technical support team without a real resolution other than being told a firmware update should be ready in weeksI would suggest taking it up a notch to complaints.
You are paying for the service, so they should be providing it to you. The fact they have acknowledged a problem exists should be enough to get you a replacement or credit for your hassles.
At least if that does not work, you have a solid case for a complaint I think. Nicemac2 Just arrived Posts: 1.
I too am experiencing this issue. I've read others are too on other forums. Speed used to be between mb download now its fluctuates wildly and i'm getting an average of mb for the past 5 weeks. Add to this constant dropouts and lost connections I'm tearing my hair out.A simple black oblong with sloping sides, it will look inconspicuous in most homes, blending into the background like a router should.
Both unexciting and inoffensive, it benefits from being quite compact at x x 70mm, so you can tuck it away almost anywhere. Other physical features include a power port, Ethernet port, reset button and RJ11 telephone port on the back, antenna ports under a panel on the back, a power button and WPS button on the top, and the SIM card slot tucked behind a panel on the right edge.
The device comes with a power plug, a SIM card, an ethernet cable and some documentation, so all you have to do is insert the supplied SIM card, plug the box in and turn it on. You should then have instant home internet.
Having said that, the likes of the Huawei B WebBox and Huawei AI Cube both allow up to 64 simultaneous connections, so for peace of mind they might be a better choice. This is another way in which it trails behind the B WebBoxas that device has four Ethernet ports.
Another positive of the HomeFi is you can take it just about anywhere. All you need is Three signal and electricity. This though is true of other 4G home broadband devices too. You can buy HomeFi on 1, 12 or month contracts, while most broadband contracts are 24 months. And HomeFi is cheap, as noted above, as well as now coming with an unlimited data option, making it a really viable alternative to fibre broadband.
The HomeFi is reasonably speedy too. Upload speeds meanwhile top out at 50Mbps, which is plenty fast too.

Those with better signal strength should expect average speeds of around 15Mbps 1. It is worth noting that HomeFi only supports 2. We had no problems with signal with excellent signal strength being achieved across our modestly sizes office and in the surrounding areas. The HomeFi can be managed either using an app or a web interface, with the latter also letting you send and receive text messages, thanks to the HomeFi using a normal SIM card. The web interface is accessed by visiting an IP address found on the bottom of the HomeFi along with the password needed.
However, it does lack some of more advanced features of the web interface.Kit tpms x navigatore professional
It also avoids one of the key issues of some mobile broadband services, namely data limits. With HomeFi, you can browse, stream, download and play as much as you want. There are a number of alternatives to the HomeFi B, including fixed-line broadband and alternative mobile broadband products. The most obvious alternative is fibre broadband, which typically requires a phone line and can often be more expensive as a result, as well as potentially locking you in to a longer contract.
But fixed broadband is also potentially substantially faster.Mobile Menu. Menu Forums New posts. What's new New posts. Log in Register.Curtis cab mahindra
The router settings don't allow me to change this and guest network etc is all disabled. What's strange is that the router appears to be 2 devices in one. I've tried blocking with the MAC address filter but this doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You. Hidden Device.

Yes sold seperately. Mains Power.I tried setting switching the preferred network between Auto, 3G only and 4G only and sometimes one seems to be more stable than the other, but today I just had to reboot all the time…. I got a new SIM card last Friday. It seems that this did the trick. I didn't need to reset the connection since. As mentioned before, I didn't think it really is a hard ware problem, as I had similar issues after using another modem. Didn't expect that switching the SIM card would make that much of a difference.
I seem to be getting faster speeds to Mbps at time, before never more than 1. However, as long as I don't get disconnected I can live with this. View solution in original post. It just frequently stops getting data despite saying it is connected and has good reception.
It seems that by changing the preferred network I force the modem to reconnect and then it works again. But it is often only 20 minutes before it cuts out again Thanks for the info there. Can you PM your account details and I'll have our tech team check it out for you? Normally, this isn't a problem as it drops and it's back up within a second or two but if steaming or using Remote desktop then I'm cut off and have to reconnect each time.
Since my last post I first had the brand new Modem sent in for repair on suggestion of support staff, which didn't help. After that I spent a good time on the phone to staff doing all sorts of tests they apparently have to ask you to do before they can pass the problem on to their Tech Team.
However, the Tech Team apparently dismisses the case, because according to their records I can connect and use data - which isn't the problem.
